Visiting the Club...
Members and their guests visiting The Farmers Club, in Whitehall Court, are respectfully reminded that certain rules of conduct apply.
Dress Code
Gentlemen should wear formal jackets and ties. Polo-neck jerseys, jeans and trainer shoes are not acceptable. A jacket and a selection of ties are available from Reception and may be borrowed in an emergency.
Ladies should be dressed conventionally. Trousers are permitted but not casual slacks, jeans or trainer shoes.
Smart casual dress is acceptable from 6pm on Friday evening and during the weekend.
Children are expected to confirm with these dress guidelines.
Members must advise their guests of the dress regulations.
Accessories
Mobile phones may not be used in the public rooms. Briefcases should be left in the Cloakrooms and Business meetings must be conducted in a private room. Members should speak to the Meetings Office (020 7925 7100) for further details.
Business Suite
This facility is situated on the Club floor in the old House Manager’s office and gives members an opportunity to use a laptop, the Club PCs or their mobile phones in a tailor made environment. The use of a laptop is therefore no longer allowed in the public rooms and must now be restricted to the Business Suite.
Firearms
Members are reminded that the Club has no facilities for the secure storage of firearms. It does, however, hold a list of registered firearm dealers in London, details of which are available from Reception (020 7930 3557).
Dogs
No dogs are permitted on any part of the premises.
(with the exception of registered Guide Dogs)
Security
Members are advised not to leave wallets, money, chequebooks, etc, in briefcases in the bedrooms and cloakrooms of the Club. The Club does not accept responsibility for any losses and expects members to be as security aware as possible. A small security safe is available in Reception, where valuables may be stored.
