USDA Secretary nominee Sonny Purdue is profiled (p9), new members of the Club Committee are introduced (p14) and the Under 30s report on Rude Health’s novel food business, as well as reflecting on the wealth of family farm-based innovation at this year’s “Thrive or Survive?” Oxford Farming Conference (p20).

The Spring Journal also includes details and application forms for a number of Club visits, including Gloucestershire in May, West Wales in June, Henley Royal Regatta in July, and Portugal in October, plus dinners at the Balmoral and Highland Shows.
