Why not base yourself at the Farmers Club to take in some of London’s amazing museums. This summer at the V&A, the world’s leading museum of Art and Design, has two very different summer exhibitions: Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear and Ove Arup – engineering the world.
Engineering the world is the first major retrospective of Ove Arup (1895-1988), the most influential engineer of the 20th century, examining the philosophy of ‘total design’. Unseen archival materials for projects such as the Sydney Opera House will be on show alongside recent prototypes and digital animations by Arup, the global engineering consultancy.
Undressed explores the intimate relationship between underwear and fashion and its role in moulding the body to a fashionable ideal, with cut, fit, fabric and decoration revealing issues of gender, sex and morality.
London offers a huge array of attractions and Club members have the added appeal of being amongst the first to enjoy our newly refurbished facilities, which will remain open throughout the month of August.
All areas of the Club will be fully open, as has been the case for several years now, including the restaurant, bar, bedrooms, business suite, lounge, and function rooms.
The Farmers Club offers a wide range of comfortable and stylish bedrooms, designed to meet your needs perfectly, with a choice of single, double, queen, twin or triple beds. All are decorated in a home-from-home style and most have en-suite facilities.
