The Farmers Club has a well-earned reputation for producing simply cooked, seasonal, quality British food. A new book to champion the work of Paul Hogben, Head Chef & Director of Food, and his team is due, including sumptuous photography by Jonathan Pollock.
The Harvest issue of the Farmers Club Journal – now arriving with members – also reports on a joint seminar with the British Crop Production Council, which highlighted the potential for novel breeding technologies to boost farm productivity – regulations permitting.
Further articles explore the crucial issue of farm succession planning to smooth the farm’s transition to the next generation, and a poignant insight into the thorny issue of engaging the attention of city-dwellers, especially the next generation.
A host of wonderful Club Events are reported on, including a wide range of Summer Events, plus the very successful Club to Country initiative, which engaged with almost 7% of the membership this summer.
