The Terrace

Crisp, fresh, winter mornings are a delight as you take in the panoramic view across Embankment Gardens and beyond.

In Spring we watch the gardens transform and, in the Summer, wonderful green trees surround us, providing a leafy oasis of calm from the busy London scene. Strawberries & Cream appear on the menu during Wimbledon and our Head Chef & Director of Food creates a delicious Summer Terrace menu ideal for sunny Summer days.

As the Autumn colours start to change and the leaves begin to fall, the Thames is unveiled and you can watch the hustle and bustle of the boats and admire the majestic buildings on the South Bank.

And then of course, there’s New Year’s Eve....when the Terrace provides quite simply, the “best seat in the house". The club is almost directly opposite the London Eye, the focal point of the New Years’ world-renowned firework display. Those lucky enough to be successful in the New Years’ Eve ballot are able to watch in comfort from the Terrace.

On cooler days either at the start or the end of the year or indeed on Spring and Summer evenings when the evening temperature drops, the terrace tables come into their own. Each one has a central fire pit that radiates warmth when turned on, providing a cosy, inviting atmosphere. The fire pit tables enable greater use of this wonderful space throughout the year and were purchased using part of the Jill Willows Legacy in 2018.

When the weather is suitable, we do allocate Restaurant tables on the Terrace, however, please note we do not take bookings, it is operated on a first come first served basis. Subject to availability space for cocktails prior to lunches or dinners in Conference and Banqueting can be arranged.
